Aurora
Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 1995, in Stavanger) is the name of a Norwegian artist and vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, came out in May 2015 on Decca Records to great approval from music journalists and media. The artist has already recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by Oasis. Oasis for a Christmas advertisement by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry's praise for her track Runaway on her blog brought the singer additional recognition. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' first musical moment was when she stumbled across a miniature piano that was in her basement, and being fascinated at the sound it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to pursue music for a love rather than as a job. She started writing lyrics of her own. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen as well as Bjork as her main influences. She decided to start performing the songs she wrote publicly after her mom suggested they could help people not be famous with her work but to make people see around them realize the importance of their work and how they could impact the world. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument when she was six. She began making music at the age of nine. The family did not know about this until she was 14. There was no way she could have imagined to turn into Aurora. The only thing she loves is to write music. Music is her most preferred way to feel anything.
